Universal Life Energy

The Foundation of Reiki Teachings
The term universal life energy describes, within the Reiki tradition, a force that underlies all living beings and connects all life. In Japanese, this energy is referred to as “Ki” and is comparable to similar concepts such as “Chi” in Chinese traditions or “Prana” in Indian teachings.
According to Reiki philosophy, this life energy flows through the body and is connected with our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. During a Reiki session, the focus is on consciously experiencing this energy and supporting the natural flow of energy.
Reiki practitioners do not see themselves as the source of this energy, but rather as a channel through which universal life energy is transmitted. The practice is carried out with mindfulness, calmness, and a respectful attitude toward the person receiving Reiki.
Many people describe Reiki as an experience of deep relaxation, inner peace, and a more conscious connection with themselves. The personal perception of this energy can vary greatly and often develops through individual experience and regular practice.
